Andrea Carlson comes by her love of food honestly, through her appreciation of the environments that yield it. She has worked with several progressive chefs and leaders in the field of sustainability, including Robert Clark, founding partner of the Ocean Wise program and sustainable seafood leader. Working in distinguished kitchens across B.C. and alongside groundbreaking chefs, Andrea cultivated a true appreciation for the connection between nature and food. She developed Vancouver’s first 100-mile menu at Bluewater Cafe.
Andrea owns Burdock & Co and Harvest Community Foods, two businesses that exemplify her vision for community-driven, sustainable and delicious local food. She serves on the boards of the Chefs’ Table Society and Growing Chefs.
